home sweet home.
Well, we ended up coming home a day early. We would have liked to hang around and visit more with Todd, but he was getting busy for the holiday weekend at the campground and Tyler was just not being a happy traveler. He was super crank-tanker-ous when we got to Todd’s… he calmed down and slept okay, then he woke up early and never got his morning nap and by 9 am he was a cranky pants again. So he got fed and passed out and out on the road we went – he got cranky 1/2 way home, but that was a wet diaper, we changed him and just drove on home. Little guy is now napping in his own crib again.
Todd’s place is really nice! Out in the middle of the woods and he’s got his own pond – complete with fish! Chris ended up buying some fishing poles to keep over at Todd’s – he caught a huge blue gill and there was a baby small mouth bass he caught too (all thrown back in). We had an awesome dinner of kabobs that we got from a local store there… we were so stuffed. We had bought too many kabobs, but they were tasty and they won’t go to waste – Todd will eat them for lunch! I’ll see if I can get that photo of Todd’s pond up here to show you all. It’s really cool.
It’s good to be back home, but I would have liked to have visited more… but we all were busy and had our hands full, so until next time!
